the problem is software for real job and gaming,.. android or others mobile OS doesnt have real apps for productivity just light flash apps, and gaming on mobil is now sucks cause all games on play store become freemium and no AAA title. so power of tegra X1 is gimmick.

Against the iPad pro the C is a good contender. It's the only tablet with Tegra X1, the design is beautiful, good screen but it suffers from the biggest problem the iPad pro has: like iOS there aren't any Android apps designed with the powerful hardware in mind, so besides a faster and smoother experience you don't get any apps to put the hardware to the test.

10.2 inch???! So that means that Windows apps like Excel won't be free?! I think you need to have an Android device that is 10.1 inches or smaller in order to run the free Windows office apps for Android. No thanks! Glad i never got the pixel c.

1 year later, this thing is STILL $500. Come on Google, lower it to $300 and people might actually buy this thing.

what I can't figure out is why the pixel C doesn't run chrome OS. that would make a lot more sense.

which is better, Microsoft Surface 3 or Google Pixel C? I mostly need one of them for work and to use in college (using Word and powerpoint etc), youtube and FB.

You should do a revisit with Android N since it has side by side available now! I'd watch it. Still on the fence about the device!

Nope. I bought this and I ended up returning it for the ipad pro 9.7
Zero regrets. The wifi issues on the pixel C were unacceptable. It would always stream netflix and youtube in low quality, it was quite heavy, the speakers sucked. The screen was very underwhelming given the hype. I actually bought the ipad pro while I had the pixel C because I wanted to test the two and decide on one, and honestly I was just in complete awe at how the ipad pro was just… absolutely phenomenal while the pixel C was irritating to use.

Don't get the pixel C until google fixes the unacceptable wifi issues. I understand the ipad pro isn't for everyone as the price is very hefty. I wanted the best. Which it is. I am in love with this thing… I have discovered absolutely ZERO issues with this wonderful tablet ( which is a lot coming from me… I'm super picky ). However if the price is too much for you and you don't like ios, I would recommend getting the galaxy tab s2 or the nvidia shield k1. I tried out the galaxy tab s2 aswell and was VERY impressed with its screen and multitasking capabilities. Possibly the best multitasking on any tablet I've tried. Better than ios and Android Nougat.

If the ipad pro didn't exist, my 2nd choice would have been the galaxy tab s2. Not ipad air 2. I actually prefer android, but the ipad pro's hardware is just… OMG. The speakers.. the screen!! Battery… camera.. and it just doesn't lag. Ever. Which is refreshing after trying a few android tablets. Also, while the ipad pro smart keyboard isn't as.. laptop-like as the pixel C, I actually prefer it due to the texture and sheer portability and convenience.

Last thing I wanna add… IOS is incredibly seamless compared to android.. I almost feels like magic how things just come naturally. Want a app to close? You pinch in with 5 fingers which feels so natural. Things like that I really appreciate after trying the pixel C.

It costs EUR 599 in Germany far from what I would maximum be ready to spent of EUR 199 for which You get the latest Acer Iconia Tablet .

I assume the new iteration of android remedied the multitasking issue.

I love what all the companies are going for with these convertibles… But I cannot for the life of why they advertise them with the accessories that actually make them more than just a tablet, but don't offer the two together. I'll jump on this convertible bus when they all have active styluses and keyboards included.
