The only negative i found that he said is the price.. everything else it just depends on the type of owner

Price wise AT&T and others run BOGO offers. I picked up two, one for me and one for my son who is moving from an iPhone 6s and loves the Note Series. IMO for $500each it's a great deal.

Price shouldnt be a part of the review in my opinion. It's not a negative or positive. It doesn't tell you how the phone is. I use jump on demand so price us nothing to me. I had the s8 plus for 3 months before I got this phone.

How's the speaker? Is it really bad coming from a 7 plus or is it ok? Using a 7 plus now, planning to get a note 8, speaker is the only thing holding me back. Ur thoughts? BTW very straightforward video, great job.

Well, the only ppl that hates the fingerprint sensor are youtube reviewers and non-sammy users. How strange that all the ppl I asked that uses S8+ and Note 8 have no issues with touching sensor at 1st try and it's very quick and accurate. You know it's on the left when you hold the phone, why will you go touch the cameras on the right like you say you did?

Even with a small asian hand like me has no issue reaching it. the fingerprint reader is really good. I don't need to touch my screen to unlock. just place my finger there and it unlocks my phone from off to home screen instantly.
And a lot of ppl doesn't know that S8/S8+ & Note 8 has a selfie portrait mode called Selective Focus.

All phones will have glass back now due to wireless charging. Metal back will interfere with it. Only samsung wireless charging is worth using cos it is fast charge where the other phones are just normal charge.

And you mentioned you didn't show live focus in one of the comments. Only live focus mode allows you to take closeup and wide angle shots together and adjust the background.

thanks for the review, it is a nice add, however if you may make a comprehensive comparison between iphone 10 and note 8 as each of them is the flagship of its brand, that would be really high value

A major "bad" for me: Where the h… did s-note go? The crippled "samsung notes" comes with no evernote integration, no photo note, no easy chart, no action memo, no idea sketch… So if this is what progress and putting productivity features first look like (instead, we got more "stickers" in the camera app… wtf…), then hey Samsung, please also make the price less "productive". I hope some software fix will bring us the real s-note with the mentioned features back.

Not a fan of video on the Galaxy phones… they always look like twitchy jello because of the OIS. Also the fact they charge you premium prices but use plastic on their fingerprint sensor.

The finger print sensor placement feels like the way they can force you to use face recognition.

Nice review mate, I often come to this channel for some truth. So many of your contemporaries are like indentik clones eagerly awaiting the new MKBHD video to drop so they can learn what their opinions are, whilst pimping themselves for dBrand.

Been using Galaxy for the last 2 years. S6 and s7. I "picked up" an iPhone 8. In quotations because I pre ordered it and paid a ton. Anyways I like it a lot. Android has better functionality, screen, price, battery, and innovation in general. Which is why I'm so surprised that I'm enjoying my iPhone. However I'll probably go back to Samsung next year but it's definitely not a bad year

Aaron you’re forgetting one huge benefit of this phone over this S8/S8 Plus … it has more RAM and is thus more future proof. This is Android so specs DO matter. I would rather have a phone based upon the much more refined and tested 7.1.1 than the potentially buggy 8.0 release

I assume you will be making the glass back on all of the iPhones a negative. They are also heavier than the 7 and 7+.

The one thing I got to give credit to the phone was it sorted 10 drop test on another channel ever not have any glass break on it that is impressive in that regard Apple should take notes because the iPhone eight then I fare so well

We all agree that Fingerprint sensor is not on the best position, but you now its on the left side, i dont understand why everyone has to ´search´ sensor if you know where is placed? or simply swipe from left side to the middle and you will find fingerprint sensor.

Note8 is great phone, but I don´t like Samsung UI design, I know its beatiful but for me its too much, and i appreciate faster updates and vanilla android or maybe at least near stock such android on xperia or moto phones.

and there is the price, its expensive, and this price will mostly remain high at least until the note 9 came out, and even then it will be pricey.

Sorry man but I think you got the wrong idea with live focus. Basically treat it how you would portrait mode on the iPhone and you'll get the results you want. It's not really for landscape shots. Oh, and if you select the wide angle option at the top of the camera interface for taking photos it automatically reduces the resolution to 9 megapixels in the settings.
